Suomen ilmastopaneeli - The Finnish Climate Change Panel

Current projects

Clean technology includes all such products, services, processes and systems that cause less damage on the environment than their typical alternatives. The new Climate Panel project clarifies what the term stands for and examines the role of cleantech in the reducing of greenhouse gas emissions as well as its role in boosting the national economy and increasing employment. The project gathers scientific research data, produces new information together with experts and answers the following questions:

  • How important is the cleantech industry currently when it comes to Finland’s national economy and emission reduction?
  • What is the development potential of the cleantech industry, and how will it support the national economy and employment by the years 2020 and 2030?
  • Which actions can advance the cleantech industry most efficiently and thereby lower greenhouse gas emissions fastest?
